Abdominal Pad

 Abdominal pads are highly absorbent and are used to soak up blood, fluids, and other bodily secretions during surgery. 

* Protection: Abdominal pads are placed strategically to protect organs and tissues from accidental damage during surgery. They can be used to cover delicate structures or to create a barrier between organs and surgical instruments.

* Retraction: In some cases, abdominal sponges are used for tissue retraction, particularly in abdominal surgeries where access to certain areas may be limited. The sponge can be used to gently hold tissues or organs in place to improve visibility and access for the surgeon.

* Packing: They can be used for packing wounds or surgical cavities to help absorb exudate, promote hemostasis, and provide support to the surrounding tissues.

* Cleaning: Abdominal pads are used for wiping and cleaning the surgical site or surrounding areas to remove blood, debris, and other contaminants during the procedure.
