The veins of the rich Chitale legacy trace back to the 1939
When the visionary Late Shri. Bhaskar Ganesh Chitale started a humble milk distribution business at Bhilawadi in Sangli district. This marked the beginning of the first ever entrepreneurial dairy revolution in India. This worthy lineage was ably carried forward by his sons Bhausaheb, Rajabhau, Nanasaheb and Kakasaheb Chitale, who got affiliated with the business on completion of their education. The beginning of the 1950s was also marked by yet another significant milestone: the establishment of Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale by Raghunath Chitale, affectionately known as Bhausaheb. In his younger brother Rajabhau (the Late Narsinha Chitale), he found an able ally to take the brand from the nascent stages to greater glory.

Chitale Products stand as a testament to a rich legacy that commenced in 1939. This was the year when the visionary Late Shri. Bhaskar Ganesh Chitale embarked on an entrepreneurial journey by launching a modest milk distribution business in Bhilawadi, Sangli district. This pioneering venture heralded the onset of the first-ever entrepreneurial dairy revolution in India. His dedication and passion laid down the foundations of what would become one of India's most revered and beloved brands.
In the late 1930s, the concept of dairy farming and milk distribution in India was rudimentary at best. Recognizing an opportunity to streamline and professionalize this sector, Bhaskar Ganesh Chitale, with his acute business acumen and insightful vision, decided to venture into the world of dairy. Starting with a small-scale operation, he focused on creating a reliable supply chain, ensuring that the people of Bhilawadi had access to pure, fresh milk daily.
Slowly but steadily, his enterprise grew. The burgeoning success of the milk distribution business did not go unnoticed. His sons, Bhausaheb, Rajabhau, Nanasaheb, and Kakasaheb Chitale, joined the burgeoning business upon completing their education. With youth and vigor, they brought new ideas and innovations, pushing the envelope further. By the time the 1950s dawned, the Chitale brand was synonymous with quality and reliability in dairy.
The year 1950 marked a turning point. Raghunath Chitale, affectionately known as Bhausaheb, decided to diversify the family’s business portfolio. With his brother Rajabhau (the Late Narsinha Chitale) as a steadfast ally, they established Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale. This new venture branched into the world of confectionery and sweets, bringing a new dimension to the Chitale brand.
Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale rapidly evolved from its humble beginnings into a well-recognized and loved brand. Their commitment to quality, authenticity, and traditional recipes struck a chord with customers. The brand's sweets and snacks became a staple in homes across Maharashtra and, eventually, all over India.
