Distilled soya fatty acid is a product obtained from soybean oil that is split and vacuum distilled. It can be a clear fluid or solid yellow in color at room temperature and has a melting point of more than 25 °C. Here are some of its characteristics:
Composition: Distilled soya fatty acid is rich in linoleic acid and low in oleic acid.
Uses: It is used in the manufacturing of paints, varnishes, coatings, resins, plastic and rubber chemicals, and more.

Acid value: It has an acid value of 195–202.
Iodine value: It has an iodine value of at least 125.
