  • Additional information

Since Prakriti Spice World's Instant Vegetables Sambar mix already contains dehydrated vegetables, you don’t need to add any extra vegetables during the cooking process. Here’s the updated detailed preparation for a thicker consistency:

    Ingredients:

100 grams Instant Vegetables Sambar Mix from Prakriti Spice World (which already includes dehydrated vegetables)

1 to 1.1 liters of water (for a thicker consistency)

    Instructions:

    1. Measure the Water:

For a thicker sambar, reduce the water from the standard 1.25 liters to 1 to 1.1 liters. This will help create a richer and denser sambar.

    2. Combine the Mix and Water:

Empty the 100-gram sambar mix into a pot.

Pour in the measured 1 to 1.1 liters of water.

Stir the mix well to ensure there are no lumps and the dehydrated vegetables start rehydrating.

    3. Boil the Mixture:

Place the pot on medium heat.

Stir occasionally and bring the mixture to a boil. You will notice the vegetables in the mix rehydrate as the water heats up.

    4. Simmer:

After reaching a boil, reduce the heat to low and let the sambar simmer for 5-10 minutes. This will allow the flavors to deepen and the vegetables to fully rehydrate.

Stir occasionally to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.

    5. Check Consistency:

As it simmers, the sambar will thicken. For a thicker consistency, allow it to simmer a little longer until it reaches your desired texture.

If you find the consistency too thick at any point, you can add a small amount of water and continue simmering for a few more minutes.

    6. Serve:

Once the desired thickness is achieved, turn off the heat.

Serve the hot, flavorful sambar with rice, dosa, or idli.

Since the dehydrated vegetables are already in the pouch, no additional ingredients are necessary, making this a quick and easy way to prepare a wholesome meal with minimal effort.
