Duke’s DSW-H  Waste Water Pumps are high performance pumps designed for Sewage & Drainage water applications. The impellers are of Vortex Open closed types depends on the models and the impeller’s material too varies. Pumps with cutters available for heavy duty application for the water with solid foreign materials those to be cut and pumped out. The HO7RNF lead-out cables are used for power supply. These pumps are available in rigid Cast Iron constructions to fight with aggressive waste water.

     Waste Water Pumps (Heavy Sewage)

    1. Purpose and Function: Heavy sewage pumps are engineered to handle particularly challenging wastewater applications involving large volumes of thick, viscous, and often highly contaminated sewage. They are essential in settings where traditional pumps might struggle due to the high concentration of solids and other heavy materials.

    2. Design and Construction:

Heavy-Duty Materials: Constructed from robust materials such as cast iron or stainless steel to withstand abrasive and corrosive elements commonly found in heavy sewage.

Wear-Resistant Components: Equipped with wear-resistant components and coatings to enhance durability and extend service life, especially when dealing with abrasive particles.

    3. Pumping Mechanism:

Impeller Design: Features a large, semi-open or vortex impeller designed to handle solids and prevent clogging. Some models include chopper blades to break down large debris.

Discharge Size: Generally equipped with larger discharge openings to handle the higher flow rates and larger particles associated with heavy sewage.

    4. Performance Specifications:

Flow Rate: Capable of handling high flow rates, often specified in cubic meters per hour (m³/h) or gallons per minute (GPM), to manage large volumes of sewage effectively.

Head Capacity: Designed to achieve significant head pressures, ensuring that sewage can be pumped over long distances or elevated heights.

    5. Applications:

Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants: Used in municipal systems where the sewage is particularly heavy or contaminated.

Industrial Facilities: Suitable for industrial sites where heavy industrial waste is processed, including food processing or manufacturing plants.

Sewerage Systems: Applied in main sewer lines and lift stations where the sewage load is high.

    6. Maintenance and Service:

Routine Inspection: Regular checks for wear and tear, especially on impellers, seals, and bearings, to ensure reliable operation and prevent downtime.

Cleaning: Routine cleaning is necessary to remove sludge build-up and prevent clogging, which can affect performance and lifespan.

    7. Safety Features:

Automatic Shutdown: Many pumps include automatic shutdown features that activate in case of overload, high temperature, or other operational anomalies to prevent damage.

Protection Systems: Incorporates thermal and mechanical protection systems to safeguard against overheating and mechanical failure.

    8. Installation and Integration:

Mounting Options: Designed for both submersible and non-submersible applications. Submersible models are ideal for installation in pits or tanks, while non-submersible pumps are suitable for above-ground setups.

Compatibility: Often compatible with existing wastewater infrastructure and can be integrated into various sewage systems with standard connections.

    9. Environmental Impact:

Efficiency: Optimized for high efficiency, which minimizes energy consumption and reduces the environmental footprint of wastewater management operations.

Reduced Odor: Advanced design often helps in minimizing odor emissions by ensuring efficient handling and processing of sewage.

    10. Compliance and Standards:

Industry Standards: Complies with local and international standards for wastewater management, ensuring safe and effective operation.

Regulatory Compliance: Meets environmental regulations and safety standards specific to heavy sewage handling.

    11. Customization and Options:

Configurable Options: Many models offer customizable features such as variable speed drives, different impeller types, and specialized coatings to meet specific operational requirements.

Additional Accessories: Optional accessories like automatic level controls, monitoring systems, and remote operation capabilities can enhance functionality and convenience.
