Rice husk previous was just a waste. However now they are used as animal feed. It is used for cattle feed. A number of possible uses for RHA include absorbents for oils and chemicals, soil ameliorants, a source of silicon, insulation powder in steel mills, as repellents in the form of "vinegar-tar" release agent in the ceramics industry, as an insulation material. Rice husk powder has some oil percentage and it can be increased or decreased depending on the requirement. Oil Percentage may vary from 0.5-5 to 6%.

Charcoal: In Indian Ayurvedic medical practice activated charcoal is used for dental cleaning.
